Vacuum separation furnace
Zinc boils at 907 °C, copper at 2562 °C. Pull a vacuum and that gap widens — so the zinc leaves the melt as vapour while the copper stays behind.
- Zinc recovered as metal — condensed back into saleable zinc instead of disappearing into the dust collector.
- Copper tapped clean — no residual zinc to downgrade the copper you sell.
- Gold and silver stay with the copper — recovered together in the crucible.
- Aluminium-zinc: approx. 3 hours per batch; copper-zinc: approx. 3 batches per 24 hours, at 300–500 kW, using roughly 700–900 kWh per tonne.
